Founded in 1948 by a group of local artists, Bainbridge Arts & Crafts (BAC), was one of the first visual arts organization on the island and one of the very first in Washington State.
BAC is a nonprofit organization that brings free art education and outreach to communities across Kitsap County. It also has a gorgeous gallery filled with diverse arts and crafts, including jewelry, ceramics, sculptures, cards, glass work and so much more. Amidst several recent threats to close BAC, there is a new effort being made to save this valuable community pillar. You're invited to the opening night of the Collectors' Sale on Friday, January 3rd from 6-8pm. Generous art collectors and artists from all over the island have donated works to BAC to raise funds for the gallery. It is sure to be a beautifully curated display with something for everyone at desirable prices (including the painting below). Refreshments, wine, and good cheer will be served as well.
