Warm greetings to all. I hope this finds you and your loved ones healthy and well during this uncertain time. Experiencing life during a pandemic has been a true test of our adaptability, resilience, and creativity. Priorities have certainly shifted and art may have fallen off the radar for many--distractions are abundant. This painting was done after a series of attempts to paint a simple daffodil--uncomfortable concentrated detail and focus finally lead to this BURST of liberating release. Remember that art nourishes the soul--I think it will lead us to clarity. Stay well and keep on creating.

Good morning, dear friend! This is sure a ray of sunshine for many reasons. I, too have felt a bit "frozen" with some of my creative projects. I was knitting at night but hadn't taken out my rug hooking. Once I set my mind to "just do it", it felt so good...truly good for the soul.
I love the bursts of yellow in this piece and the promise of spring and good things that it represents. My neighbor has some blooming in her front woods area and I love seeing them while walking Emma. Thank you for this additional inspiration to CREATE!
Your daffodil is like an explosion of joy!!
